Step 1 - Believe

Believe on the name of The Lord Jesus Christ.

The first step in entering into the Covenant of the Lord is accepting the fact HE lives. When the spirit of the Lord visits your heart, saving faith is born. Realizing we are not alone, that no man is an island is the first step on our road to salvation. A measure of saving faith is given to us by God. That seed of faith, planted deep within us when our body became a living Soul and nourished by the Spirit of God when we allow that seed the freedom to grow will lead us to the Throne of Grace. God is not a God of Vengeance to those who turn to HIM.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

"Saving Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."

In a classroom, the teacher writes on the blackboard. "2+2=4". We as students learn that when two plus two is written on the board, our answer should be four, that is knowledge. When we as students take two apples and add two more apples to the first two we have four. We have proven what we have been taught. If a new teacher were to write two plus two equals five instead of four we would not accept that teaching. We have proven that two plus two equals four, our faith cannot be challenged, we know the truth.

Hebrews 10:35-36

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

When we prove the Word of God as we have proved the teachings of our teacher, our faith cannot be challenged. This is the basis of our Faith

Step 2: Repent-
"Lord, I'm a sinner, save me."
