Step Five - "The Crossroads of Life"

There comes a time in the life of every believer when Jesus becomes more than just a Savior, someone to carry us to Heaven at the end of life's journey. Abraham faced this time, the Children of Israel faced their time, Peter faced that time as the cock crowed for the third time. There comes a time in the life of every believer when they must choose the path their life will take as they stand at the crossroads.

Hebrews 6:1-3
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit..

When that time occurs in our life, Graduation Day in our life as a Christian, it is time for us to leave the Milk of the Word behind and move onto perfection. Determined that we will learn everything we can about the Man who loved us enough to give HIS life for us, we reach a crossroads in our life. Once we reach that point in our life there is no turning back. Either we move forward, guided and taught by the Holy Ghost, into the fullness of God's Word in our life or turn back, forsaking the calling of God on our life. If we move forward, the power of God will guide, strengthen and bless our lives as we fulfill that calling. However, if we turn away, the sheer weight of that calling will crush our spirit. Once we know God's will for our lives, we will know no peace until we walk in the peace that passeth all understanding.

Hebrews 4-6
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame..
